Word from the broker

Owner words :

“It feels like just yesterday that I took possession of my catamaran.

Just yesterday, I began sailing between Martinique and Saint Lucia. It was time to get used to what would become my home, my mode of transport—and then the real journey began… Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cuba, the Bahamas… they were no longer just dreamy names, but vivid images and real encounters. The boat covered mile after mile, never neglecting the anchorages. The places were stunning! What a pleasure to dive into an endless aquarium…

After the Bahamas came the Turks and Caicos, where, by the greatest stroke of luck, I met Julien—who became a good friend—then the Turks Islands, and on to Saint Martin.

We headed south again, this time with the trade winds on our side.

Along the way, there was the boundless sea and nature all around: birds above us—brown boobies, frigatebirds, tropicbirds—and even an egret that rested on the port bow for 24 hours. Dolphins came to play at the bow, and the trolling line with its lure always hoped for a mahi-mahi to improve dinner. Naturally, toward the end of the Lesser Antilles, the Tobago Cays offered up their turtles, spotted eagle rays, stingrays, and friendly trunkfish.

I discovered and especially appreciated a few hidden gems:
Saba, with the highest peak in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Dominica, with its hiking trails through the rainforest and magnificent waterfalls.
Petite Martinique, untouched by mass tourism, with its warm and welcoming locals.

Through tens of thousands of miles, and all those days and nights living in harmony with the sea, I’ve come to know that—alone or with crew—Sillage is a loyal and trustworthy companion.

It was yesterday… and now, nearly 10 years later, the chapter that began is closing.
A new one is waiting to be written…”
