Seller’s word:
“I bought my Santorin in Saint Malo in August 2021. I am the 3rd owner of the boat. The first owner had suffered a heeling in the Chausey Islands in 2014. Repairs were carried out by a reputable yard in Normandy.
In summary, the work involved replacing the standing rigging, including masts, mainsail, genoa, mizzen sail and the lower part of the cast-iron keel. The fresh-water tank was also serviced, and the entire rigging redone.
Sailing to the Canaries, Cape Verde and Guadeloupe over a period of 3 months, this voyage demonstrated Santorin’s extraordinary seaworthiness. This was followed by a slow spring sail up the Caribbean, the Bahamas and the east coast of the USA to Rockland, Maine. The boat sailed to New England during the summer and was put away for the winter. Then we sailed to the West Indies, where I decided to put the boat up for sale.
To sum up, Alibi is an earlier-generation sailboat that has greatly contributed to this builder’s reputation. It really is a superb, safe and comfortable offshore boat. Despite her age, she remains an extremely capable vessel for sailing all the world’s oceans. ”
